Can I have permissions to upload some images?
I would like to have icons for the templates that I defined. Look at my userpage User:Mdillon to see a Tip box. Rather than the word Tip in green, I would like to upload a little green circle with a checkmark. Similarly, I wanted to upload icons for Infobox, Warningbox and Alertbox.

You might want to post the top link from Community Portal on the main page for a while ;-)
suggestions for ISBN book search sites
The Wikimedia software can link ISBNs to a search page which gives a choice of booksellers. Here are some suggested sites for Canada and the USA. Some major booksellers and a couple of Safari ebook sites.

watchlist ???
I'm not sure if this works, but does Minor Edit mean that the changed page does not go out to people who have it on their watchlist?
Is it possible that a spammer has an account with some pages on a watchlist which are then spammed from a botnet whenever we clean them up?
Also, have you considered adding a simple captcha like on wiki.laptop.org ? Here is an example of what happens on the OLPC wiki when you post an edit with a URL:
Your edit includes new external links. To help protect against automated spam, please solve the simple sum below and enter the answer in the box (more info):
43 - 7 =
Of course, an automated spamming tool could easily defeat simple arithmetic but what if we asked a question that was specific to ISP operations such as "What is CIDR notation for the subnet containing 10.2.33.4 using netmask 255.255.255.240?".
- The attacks are coming from a botnet that seems to be noting the most recent changes (which is why they are focusing so much on the Talk:MainPage. Since this can easily be culled from the "Recent Changes" page, we have no reason to believe there are any registered accounts involved. We're currently trying to get the ConfirmEdit extension to work with the wiki and hope to have it up soon. We'll also be investigating add-ons for it that either do higher quality image captchas, or simple arithmetic. As you can no doubt guess, we're anxious to stop the spam flooding as well! Thanks for your suggestion and we hope to have something up either today or sometime very soon. --ARIN Admin 09:45, 16 November 2007 (EST)
Recaptcha
I run a wiki for ISOC-NY. Since installing the Recaptcha plug-in I have had zero spam problems. Joly 18:19, 10 March 2008 (EDT)
- Yeah. Worked for a bit then I got into the same problems you are having. Now I am using the ConfirmAccount extension. Joly 04:23, 14 October 2012 (EDT)
Russian pages
There is a Russian language page in Recent Changes. As I said on the page's discussion tab, I'm asking for it to be deleted because a) this is a site for ISPs and b) this is not a russian language site.
